Okay you are a high school senior now, and you are wondering how this how senior portrait thing works. So let me walk you through how I do things after 10 years in the business.

The best pictures come out of the best conditions. I do only 1 appointment a day, only go out in the best light,  and there aren’t any outfit or time restrictions on my full session.  I take my time because I want to get you to have the best senior pictures possible.

When you call, we can discuss the look and feel you want for your images, and decide where the best place to do your session will be. I have a number of great spots I’m familiar with, but I am excited to use your favorite places as well. On the day of the session, you and your mom or best friend will meet up with me, and we’ll plan out your outfits from what you’ve brought. I suggest bringing a bunch of outfits and accessories if you feel inspired; its also a great excuse to do some shopping. Bring outfits that just say you, ones your mom will like, that dress you need an excuse for, even some more dressed up special outfits. Try to vary it between different types of tops and pants/skirts/dresses. Bring more then you think you’ll be able to do, so that we can pick through it together. Its also just great for variety in the images. 10 outfits to pick from is not too many! Color wise, the one thing to know is that teal/aqua clashes with grass/evergreens etc, so don’t bring too much of it if you are shooting outside. Layers are great and provide variety too. Think about your best features and how to highlight them– like a color to bring out your eyes.

We’ll head out together and likely shoot in several spots all near each other. You’ll be surprised how fun it is! I do some posed images, just goofing around stuff, and posed but it doesn’t look like it. So you don’t need to worry about not being a natural supermodel. A few days after your session I will email you a proof sheet showing your pics, or the finished pics if you decide to go with option 2.   After you order, every image will be fully and naturally retouched to have you looking your very best, but not fake.
